Carol Anne Clayton
After years of hard work and study I am comfortable in calling myself an artist. I must add that the learning process and the joy of creation never ends for an artist. I grew up always drawing , crafting and designing in my North Carolina home. I had the typical childhood that living in rural North Carolina could give in the 50’s and 60’s.
Given the opportunity and means, I would gladly have remained a full time student, so it was no surprise I ended up in the teaching profession. After having my children , I did not go back to teaching but entered the interior design field which gave me an outlet for my creativity. My love for art continued but as my career progressed, I managed and owned two businesses. These I sold after a number of years and went to work as a corporate trainer. When my position was phased out in 2007, I decided it was time do what I really loved. Well, here I am, still working at it, but loving every minute.
My inspiration is anything and everything. I primarily paint landscapes so I would have to say nature and the beauty of the world is what leads me. I hope you will see in my paintings the love and fulfillment I have found in creating them.
Thank you for viewing my work.
